Dell Releases Touch-Screen-Enabled Systems

Dell released a pair of touch-screen-enabled systems designed one for desktop and one for notebook. It will be based on Microsoft’s Windows 7 Touch platform.

The company dubbed the desktop model as the Inspirion One 19, it is considered to be an all-in-one system. It will come with a 19in screen; the starting price of the product is £499.

The notebook system will be known under the name the Studio 17, moreover, it will be the first notebook manufactured by Dell that provides a touch-screen interface. The starting price of the product is still unknown but it is expected that the device will appear in the market later this month.

Dell hopes that the touch features will find the market and become popular among customers.

“Touch-screen makes computing easy and fun for all ages,” said David Clifton, director of consumer marketing for Dell Europe.
