IBM wins $83m contract

IBM has won a 10-year $83m IT outsourcing contract from Indian cable and broadband distribution company Digicable.

Under the contract, the company will support the integration of Digicable’s digital media content delivery and value added services applications with its core business technologies and processes. It will provide IT infrastructure services, network support, application maintenance services and security services. It will also optimize operations for Central/Remote Head Ends and physical/digital assets.

Additionally, the company will implement and manage core applications and services, including business-to-business/business-to-consumer and employee portals, voucher and credit management systems, electronic bill presentation & payment (EBPP), intellectual property management (IPM) and ERP.

The deal follows the company’s eight-year contract from Essex County Council to provide an array of transformation services including the design, management and delivery of front-end customer services, back-office and corporate systems, and business consulting and technology.
